The Lismore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) website has been an evolving thing since I first became a Chamber sponsor, and started working on the site back in 2013. A big overhaul in 2014 was also done after a significant change of name and rebranding exercise. More work has been done since then, and the latest addition has been a new online member directory.

The directory enables prospective members to sign up online, pay their membership online, update their own directory listing – very important since it’s challenging keeping contacts up to date when done manually. The directory is also dynamically generated as members join (and sometimes leave) and searchable by business or category. An event calendar is in the process of being integrated and other features will be incorporated as required, eg the beginnings of a member portal with some restricted content and polls. This latest work also involved adding SSL which is becoming near-standard. Great use of video has led to creation of a YouTube channel with short videos of members featured on the LCCI homepage proving popular. The directory payments are fully integrated with Xero which is used for LCCI accounting.

It’s a customised WordPress site as previously, using the Divi theme at its core. Membership Works (formerly MemberFindMe), Stripe.

Site released: September 2017 (Member Directory)
