A gorgeous new site for Bushfood Sensations Inc, an alliance of businesses that predominantly grow, manufacture, educate and/or promote Indigenous Australian foods. Areas of interest to members span retail, wholesale, production, catering, tourism and educational market sectors and include Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australian business. Bushfood Sensations started on the North Coast of NSW but now have members all over Australia, providing a one stop shop for Bushfoods and its products. It is an initiative of the NSW Department of Industry.
This site replaces the earlier iteration that was challenging to manage and WP/plugins/theme etc, hadn’t been updated for some time. We’ve stayed with WordPress, and customised Divi (my favourite theme!). Gravity Forms and Gravity View are used to generate the Directory, and custom post types handle the recipes and news. Events run by Bushfoods Sensations are managed using EventBrite and it is intended that member-generated events will be managed within the website. Membership fees and payment reminders will also be managed within the site in future (I think that’s stage 2!).
