What’s it all about?
The Website School isn’t so much a school, but a practical guided set of resources designed to help you create your own website and make it shine and thrive.
You’ll be in the driver’s seat, but you’ll have access to the very same process that I follow when I create a website for one of my clients. All in plain English with checklists and resources to help along the way!

Why I created the Website School
I get asked all the time for advice about websites … so many “how do you do that” questions … and it’s challenging knowing where to look, or even to know what questions to ask so you can get your website happening.
So I decided that I wanted to share the knowledge to make it as as easy as possible for you to create an awesome website for your business. And that turned into a brain dump and 15+ years of experience has been turned into a set of resources that take you through the website creation process. Starting at the beginning, with no geeky speak (I’ve kept it to an absolute minimum!).
Is the Website School for you?

This is the guide I’ve developed over more than 15 years as a professional website designer.
I use it myself to make sure I’ve got all bases covered and helps you plan your site – everything from your ideal customer, your competitors, what content you need, through to an action plan to get started with your website today!
It’s amazing how much you learn through this planning process, and while it can sometimes work if you fly by the seat of your pants, I wouldn’t recommend it! This planner will help you identify the important things to focus on when you’re creating your own website.

DIY vs professional designer
If you’re not sure whether you want to go down the DIY path, here’s a few questions that might help!
- Are you comfortable using the internet?
- Are you OK with using your desktop computer, and installing new software?
- Do you want to know about how a website works?
- Do you want to save some $$?
- Do you have time?
When it comes down to it, a professional website designer can create your website in less time than it will most likely take you, but if you have the time, the need, and the desire, the Website School may be just the thing for you!
